Tabular Alumina is produced by sintering ball-formed calcined alumina at high temperature. In this process, the normally flat crystals recrystallizes into large plate-like or tablet-shaped crystals, and achieve extremely high chemical purity while maintaining the high hardness and density.

Tabular Alumina is a high density, high hardness, low water absorption, high chemical purity and chemical stability material; it has high thermal conductivity, high mechanical strength, excellent abrasion resistance and shock resistance. Which makes it a perfect raw material for refractory applications.
