DESCRIPTION
Calcined Bauxite is produced by sintering or calcining raw bauxite at high temperatures in rotary, round or shaft kilns. Rotary made Bauxite has higher bulk density. This process of calcining (heating) bauxite in kilns removes moisture and gives calcined bauxite its high alumina content, low iron, grain hardness and toughness. Its chemical stability, high mechanical strength and moderate slags resistance, high durability to high temperature makes calcined bauxite an ideal raw material in refractories, abrasives, welding and other industries.
